Exploring & Measuring “Best Fit” Breakfast
Tuesday April 2nd, 9:30 – 11AM at 25 Broadway
Practitioners, students, and researchers have all agonized over the term “Best Fit” when it comes to post-secondary opportunities. In this session, members will tackle this issue together, exploring what “best fit” actually means and approaches to measuring if an institution really is a “best fit” for students.
Apply to Present at the SSN Innovates EXPO!
Proposals due Friday April 26th! Expo: Thursday June 27th, 8:30AM – 4PM.
At SSN, we believe that the solution is almost always “in the room.” The SSN Innovates EXPO is SSN’s year-end event designed to bring together members and other NYC education leaders into one “room” to share solutions to our biggest challenges.
Thus, we are excited to invite SSN members to present at a breakout session at the Expo. Breakout sessions are designed to give SSN members a platform to share their expertise and experience with the broader Network. This is your opportunity to share what’s working and strengthen our collective impact through knowledge-sharing! Apply using this form.
A Creative Approach to Adult SEL
Thursday May 2nd, 9:30 – 11AM at 25 Broadway
As a practitioner, how can you develop your own social-emotional skills so you can support students in doing the same? Learn from SSN member organization Leo & Lulu Fund strategies for tangibly embedding SEL in everyday life and in your work with students.

Youth Voice 101

Whether you are looking for some simple strategies to integrate youth voice in your organization, or ways to get involved with Elevating Youth Voice next year, please join us at Youth Voice 101. We will cover the basics of youth-adult partnership and strategize ways to better support our partners leading youth voice efforts.
At our recent Youth Voice Summit, youth and adult partners figured out together how to improve student outcomes. Read SSN’s youth intern Omar’s take on the summit here!

SSN Innovates EXPO
Thursday June 27th, 8:30AM – 4PM at location TBA
At the Student Success Network, we believe that business as usual is not good enough. Closing the opportunity gap in NYC requires a different way of operating: it means creating new ways of connecting with one another, building new avenues for exchanging information, and turning ideas into action. Join us at our year-end event: the SSN Innovates Expo! The Expo is a day-long opportunity for stakeholders across education to create a ripple effect by tapping into the power of a network. Together, we will create new relationships that strengthen the fabric of our ecosystem; deepen their own expertise by building on that of others; and leave equipped with concrete ideas to create a better tomorrow for NYC students.
